Annmarie Flip & Flaunt 2018 - TEAM APPLICATION
It's back - and we've made a few changes for 2018. The event will now include an opportunity for the public to vote on the best Flip & Flaunt creation. The Team with the most votes will win the challenge! In addition, the auction will be held at our annual gala on Friday, July 13, 7-10pm.

We are currently accepting Team Applications for the Annmarie Flip & Flaunt Contest to take place during the Annmarie Antique & Flea Faire, May 5 & 6, 2018. It's EASY to apply. Just read through the rules, share your contact info, and pay the $25 application fee. This is going to be FUN! Proceeds from the Flip & Flaunt Contest will benefit Annmarie programs. Saturday, May 5
9-11am: Teams shop for their flip item(s) at the Faire
(photos will be taken before work begins)
11am-3pm: Teams work on their items during the Faire
Sunday, May 6
9am-Noon: Teams continue to work on their items
12:00pm: Teams present their items (photos taken)
12:00-2:00pm - the public is invited to vote on their favorite creation! Team with the most votes wins!
2:30pm - Votes tallied and Flip & Flaunt Champion announced!
Only 6 teams will be accepted. The first six to apply will be accepted. Teams consist of two people; application fee is $25 per team. Application fees are non-refundable.
Each team will receive $100 -- $50 of this must be used to purchase at item(s) at the Faire; the other $50 will be used to reimburse contestants for paint, hardware, fabric, etc. Contestants must supply receipts for all their purchases, including supplies. No more than $50 may be spent on repurposing the items.
This is a rain or shine event. Teams who fail to show, will be disqualified. Teams will be provided with outdoor space to work, and will have access to water and electric. If you are already registered as a vendor at the Faire, you can work at your booth. If you need tents or tables, please indicate on the application form.
In the event of inclement weather; Annmarie will provide protected/indoor space to work.
Teams must bring all their own supplies and tools, including saws, drills, paint, hardware, extension cords, etc.
People's Choice - on Sunday, between Noon-2:00pm, the public in invited to vote for their favorite creation. At 2:30pm, votes will be tallied and the Flip & Flaunt Champion announced. Winner will receive $250!
Each team will receive a special participation award.
All items will be auctioned off on Friday, July 13, 7-10pm at the Annmarie annual gala.
The Flip & Flaunt Contest will be heavily advertised on the facebook, the website, etc.
The Flip & Flaunt Contest is an anything goes contest, meaning there are no set categories of items to be purchased for flipping; any type of item(s), other than weapons, are allowed.
Proceeds from the Flip & Flaunt Auction will benefit Annmarie programs.

Release Agreement and Photographic Permission for Annmarie Flip & Flaunt Contest to take place at the Annmarie Antique & Flea Faire 2018.
We acknowledge and agree that completion and submission of this online application constitutes our commitment to abide by the team rules spelled out in this application form and to participate in the Annmarie Flip & Flaunt Contest at the Annmarie Antique & Flea Faire (AA&FF) to be held at Annmarie Garden, May 5 & 6, 2018. We have read the team rules, which are considered part of this application packet, and are incorporated herein by reference. If we are accepted into Annmarie Flip & Flaunt Contest (Flip & Flaunt), we agree to abide by these rules.
For good and valuable consideration, including being permitted to participate in the Flip & Flaunt, the undersigned participating team members, for ourselves and our successors, heirs, assigns, executors, administrators, legal representatives, employees, agents and affiliates and in case of corporation, also its officers, directors, and shareholders (collectively, the “Team”), forever releases and discharges Annmarie Garden, Ann’s Circle, Inc., the Koenig Private Foundation, the Calvert County Government, and each of its officers, directors, employees, agents, assigns, volunteers and affiliates (herein referred to as “AA&FF”) from all claims, demands, losses, costs, expenses, suits, damages, obligations, liabilities, and cause of action, whether arising in law or in equity, which the Team members ever had, may now have, or may hereafter have by reason of any matter, cause or thing whatsoever arising out of or related to the Team members involvement in the Flip & Flaunt and the AA&FF.
The Team members agree to and does hereby assume any and all risks of personal injuries to the Team members including death, and risk of damage to the Team’s property, caused by or arising out of the Team’s involvement in Flip & Flaunt.
The Team hereby agrees to defend, indemnify and hold the Flip & Flaunt and AA&FF harmless from and against any and all claims, demands, suits, losses, cause of action, damages, liabilities, obligations, costs, expenses, and judgments (including, without limitation, death and damages to property) caused by the Team’s acts or omissions or failure to abide by the rules of Flip & Flaunt arising out of the Team’s involvement in the Flip & Flaunt.
If accepted, AA&FF has our permission to reproduce our work, through the photos or videos taken during the Flip & Flaunt, for the purpose of promoting, advertising, and marketing the Flip & Flaunt and the AA&FF. AA&FF also has our permission to publish photographs or video taken of us, our booth and our work, during the Flip & Flaunt and the AA&FF for purposes related to promotion of AA&FF, past or future.
